The
Global Virtual Classroom is a free on-line education program for primary
and secondary school students from around the world. It provides an opportunity for students from different countries to work with and learn from other students as they collaboratively design a website on a topic of their choosing. Each GVC team consists of three primary or three secondary schools from different countries. Once the teams have completed their work and designed their websites, a panel of international judges will evaluate the sites and determine the winners. Plaques
and cash awards will be presented to the winning teams and each student
will receive a certificate of participation.
Find out more about the Global Virtual Classroom program at www.VirtualClassroom.org. Be sure to check out the websites designed by primary and secondary school students. Approximately
31,500 students and 1,920 teachers from 52 countries have participated
in this project over the years.
For the website design contest, the winning GVC primary and secondary school teams will each be presented with a Grand Prize trophy and a $3,000 check for their schools. Second prize will be a trophy and a check for $1,500 and Thrid Prize will be a trophy and a check for $750. To register for the upcoming program, please complete the online application on the
